Jayawijaya Health Office ensures that children's right to health is fulfilled

The Jayawijaya District Health Office (Dinkes), Papua Province ensures that it continues to strive to provide or fulfill children's rights to stay healthy, according to their duties.

Head of the Jayawijaya Health Office, dr. Willy Mambieuw in Wamena, Monday, said that one of the rights of children, for example, is to get vaccinated.

"In addition to vaccination for children over six years, then routine vaccinations are all the way," he said.

According to Willy, vaccination protects the next generation from disease and every puskesmas has been instructed to routinely vaccinate.

"We plan to call all puskesmas and hospitals this week to tell them they have a complete report so we can see our services for the last six months," he said.

He explained that in order to improve services in a better direction, the Health Office continued to evaluate the health centers and the Wamena regional general hospital (RSUD).

"In order to shorten services to the community, the government continues to add new health centers in districts that do not yet have health facilities," he said.

He added that without additional health centers, people could walk up to three kilometers to reach the nearest health service center.
