Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana (KCK) Twig 02 Oksibil Branch XIV Kodim 1715/Yahukimo, Gunung Bintang Regency, Papua Mountains Province, Friday (23/12) held an action to buy community agricultural products to help improve the economy of local farmers.
Head of Persit KCK Branch XIV Kodim 1715/Yahukimo Ny. Patricia Johanis V. Tethool, Friday admitted that the activities carried out by the persit members were to help the community, especially women farmers who sell their agricultural products at the market.
This activity is also part of the Persit program, namely shopping at the traditional market for Papuan women, which in Oksibil is carried out by visiting the traditional market which is located on Jalan Kabiding, Oksibil District.
"The activities carried out by Persit Koramil Oksibil are to follow up on orders from the Upper Command so that every rank of Persit carry out shopping activities at the Mama Papua traditional market," explained Mrs. Tethool.
He admitted that by carrying out shopping activities for agricultural or garden products sold by Papuan women, it is hoped that it can help revive the people's economy, especially in the Land of Papua.
Persit also wants to take part in creating prosperity for the people of Papua through simple activities like this, where we shop for daily needs such as vegetables and fruit from Papuan mothers.
Moreover, various vegetable products that are sold are the results of their own agriculture or garden.
"We can see, the merchandise of these Papuan women is so fresh that it is grown without the slightest use of chemicals because the soil in Papua is fertile, making all of these vegetables and fruit healthy," said Mrs Tethool.
