The seriousness of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in exposing the alleged corruption of the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, became a Christmas gift for 2022.
This statement was made by the Head of the Papua Province State Defense Forum Sarlens LS Ayatonai in his statement, Sunday (25/12/2022).
He asked the anti-corruption agency to take the Lukas Enembe case seriously.
"Governor Lukas Enembe's serious examination is a Christmas present for us. We've seen lax handling recently," he said.
The completion of the Lukas case, he said, was an important momentum for the KPK to prove its seriousness in eradicating corruption in Papua. "The alleged corruption case that ensnared Lukas Enembe must be resolved immediately," he said.
He was worried that the handling of the case would involve intervention from political parties (Parpol). For the sake of 2024, such as winning cadres to seats in the legislature and Pilkada.
"If you stretch it out, in 2023 there will be intervention from political parties. So it will be even more delayed," he said.
