TNI Soldier Sertu Eka and Wife Died in Attack by KKB Papua, 2 of their children survived




Sertu Eka, an Indonesian Army soldier who served at the Ramil Post in Yalimo Regency, Papua, and his wife were shot dead and stabbed with a sharp weapon, allegedly by an armed criminal group (KKB), Thursday (31/3/2022).

The Dandim 1702 Jayawijaya, Lt. Col. Inf. Arif Budi Situmeang, when confirmed confirmed that a shooting had taken place in Yalimo. "Yes, it is true that the incident occurred and for now it is still being investigated," he said.
 
This brutal attack, shooting and torture with sharp weapons, was initially reported by residents in Elelim Village to the Yalimo Resort Police at around 06.00 WIT.

Furthermore, Head of Propam Yalimo Police Ipda Ferdi Bilolo along with a number of personnel went to the crime scene (TKP). Officers found Serda Eka already dead covered in blood.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound under the right armpit, penetrating the right side. Meanwhile, the victim's wife, Putri, is in critical condition due to a sharp weapon in the neck.
 
When evacuated to the Puskesmas, the victim's wife died on the way.
 
Meanwhile, the children of the husband and wife (couple) namely 2 boys aged 4 and 5 years survived and have been secured at the Puskesmas.

Police found projectiles and cartridges of 5.39 mm caliber bullet suspected to be from an AK 47 weapon.
