The Head of the Regional Civil Service Agency for Papua Province, Nicolaus Wenda, reminded the State Civil Servant or ASN not to get involved in practical politics in the 2020 Regional Head Election. Wenda stated in Jayapura
Even though until now the Papua Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) has not received reports regarding ASNs involved in politics, Wenda emphasized that his party will adhere to the rules of Law Number 5 of 2017 concerning ASN. He emphasized that ASN involved in supporting the candidate pairs in the 2020 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) could be fired.
Do not try to have ASNs involved in practical politics, let alone join the campaign team. Because it has violated the rules, and [could receive] disciplinary sanctions, which could lead to dismissal.
