The steps of young people who are members of the Inspirational Young Papua (PMI) in order to support the realization of prosperity in the Land of Papua have received a lot of support from a number of groups.
The support was conveyed by the Acting Governor of West Papua, Paulus Waterpauw and the Regent of Manokwari Regency, Hermus Indou.
They expressed their support after meeting with BIN's Deputy IV for Economic Intelligence, I Gde Made Kartikajaya in the East Manokwari area, West Papua.
Paulus stated that he would support the PMI program for the realization of community welfare in West Papua.
"So what is the purpose of PMI's activity, later we will fully support it," said Paulus.
PMI itself is under the guidance of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) whose job is to bring new enthusiasm to Papuan youth. Through PMI, it is hoped that young Papuans can implement their potential and creative ideas in order to support the realization of prosperity in the Land of Papua.
PMI has many creative ideas and ideas in order to support the acceleration of development in Papua, including those related to national food security. This is in accordance with Presidential Instruction Number 09 of 2020 concerning the Acceleration of Welfare in Papua and West Papua.
To support PMI's move, Paulus said the provincial government had sent a team to prepare land for planting corn in the Tambrauw, Sorong and Manokwari districts.
Support for PMI was also conveyed by the Regent of Manokwari Regency, Hermus Indou. Hermus conveyed his commitment to support PMI's work program in order to realize the welfare of Papua and West Papua through the creative work of young people within PMI.
"Our Inspirational Young Papuans support you, because I think whatever, young people occupy a very strategic position today," said Hermus.
According to Hermus, the form of support is the provision of about 2 hectares of land, as well as synergizing related agencies to provide space for empowerment initiated by PMI.
"In addition to land, we will also optimize the role of OPD-OPD for an empowerment program, through our APBD we will allocate it for these inspiring youths," he said.
Hermus hopes that this program can be realized as soon as possible, so that young Papuans feel proud and their abilities can continue to develop.
"They have adequate facilities, they want to learn to build themselves and also build the nation and state," he said.
During the activity, I Gde Made Kartikajaya, who wore an outfit that read Papua Young Inspiration, first met Paulus and his staff. Then, it was followed by a meeting with Hermus Indou and his staff.
