Babinsa Koramil 1708-03/Biak Barat (BB) appealed to farmers to be more active in cultivating land for planting and harvesting and distributing them in the Marisen Village area, West Biak District, Biak Numfor Regency.
A member of the 1708-03/Biak Barat Koramil Sertu Mabel in a press release to Antara in Jayapura, Sunday, said that maintaining the availability of vegetables in the BB area will grow the economy.
"In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, people must continue to move so that the economy can continue to grow," he said.
According to Mabel, the food security is a government program so that his party will follow up.
"We hope that residents can convey what their obstacles are, so Babinsa can play an active role in helping farmers," he said.
He explained that the presence of Babinsa was welcomed by the farmers. He hoped that this food security program could continue to develop well.
"We always help farmers and always cooperate in land management, planting, harvesting and distribution," he said again.
