Biak Regent Herry Ario Naap met the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno at the State Palace asking for support from President Joko Widodo for the acceleration of the development of the Biak Numfor Regency through the 2023 Teluk Cenderawasih Sail and the expansion of the province.
Regent Herry A. Naap who was accompanied by Regional Secretary Markus O. Masnembra in a statement received on Saturday, reported on the results of the recent visit of four ministers of the Indonesian Maju Volume II Cabinet to Biak Numfor Regency.
In addition, the most important thing conveyed at the meeting was to ask for the support of President Joko Widodo through the Minister of State Secretary to provide serious support for the acceleration of the development of the Biak Numfor Regency in various fields.
As for a number of things that were conveyed by the Regent Herry Naap, among others, asking for support for the acceleration of the development of PT. Pelindo Biak so that it can support the activities of investors in carrying out fishery management activities for export purposes which will cause multiple effects, including employment.
Another thing, the Regent in the meeting also asked for the support of the Minister of State Secretary for accelerating the implementation of the Presidential Instruction or Presidential Decree in support of the implementation of the Cenderawasih Bay Sail in 2023, asking for the construction of the Biak Botanical Gardens in the location planned for the development of the Spaceport.
As well as requesting support for the reopening of international flight routes to a number of countries in the context of exporting fishery sector products.
"During the meeting, the Regent also asked for support for the establishment of Teluk Saereri (Cenderawasih Bay) Province as the home of Indonesia in the Pacific and Eastern regions of Indonesia," said special staff of the Biak Regent, Lukas Rumere, who also attended the meeting.
According to Lukas Rumere, the meeting which took place in a relaxed and warm manner, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno said that the various things that had been explained by the Regent of Biak Numfor were requested to be followed up in written form and subsequently submitted to President Joko Widodo to be brought to a cabinet meeting.
"Mr. Regent conveyed it in written form to the President, and then it will be held in a cabinet meeting," said Lukas Rumere, imitating what the Minister of State Secretary said in response to a number of points made by the Regent in the meeting.
