Head of Gapura: Investigate the Use of Papuan PON and Otsus Funds

The chairman of the Jayapura Youth Movement (Gapura) Jack Puraro asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to investigate the use of PON XX and Pepernas XVI funds.
 
Jack explained that after PON and Peparnas left a number of problems, such as the unpaid volunteer fees.

"This should be suspected as a part of the corruption case. We ask law enforcers from the police, the prosecutor's office to the KPK to immediately investigate the issue that has just made Papuan name in the four-yearly event," he explained, Sunday (12/5).

Papua Special Autonomy

Meanwhile, the Papua Special Autonomy (Otsus) which all parties consider there is an overlap in the implementation in the field, so that the community as beneficiaries do not feel any of the policies given by the central government.

He even met with Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, to ask for the special autonomy funds that have been running for approximately two decades to be evaluated optimally, so that it can be seen what has been built and has not been built, with the hope that the Papuan people can prosper. .
 
"In a meeting with the Vice President and the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, I conveyed that the special autonomy funds must be evaluated thoroughly," he explained.

He said, when talking about special autonomy, the first thing is to talk about authority and the second is finance.

When it comes to authority, between Jakarta and Papua there are parts of the powers that are not yet maximized. While talking about finances, the central government has poured up to trillions of rupiah.

So, Jack is committed if the central government applies a firm stance to thoroughly investigate cases of alleged corruption in Papua, then he is the first person, as a youth leader and activist who will sign to provide 100 percent support to eradicate corruption in Papua.
