Development of PON Papua Roller Skates Venue Reaches 70 percent

Technical Delegate (TD) of Roller Skates Jeffry Abel said that the process of building a roller skating venue for PON Papua in Buper Waena, Jayapura City has now reached 70 percent.

Through the PB PON Papua page, Monday, February 8, 2021, Jeffry said that the roller skating venue will be of international standard and at the same time serve as a mecca for the birth of roller skating athletes in Indonesia.

"This venue will later also be a place to give birth to athletes who are reliable in roller skating, especially Papuan children," he hoped.

The former Secretary of PHRI Papua also revealed that the construction of the XX PON roller skating venue is planned to be completed in March 2021.

"Currently, the venue is in the 70 percent development stage. If there are no obstacles, March will be completed and April can be used," said Jeffry.

According to Jeffry, PON Papua athletes in roller skating are currently having trouble finding a place to practice, so that later the venue will be used as a training ground as well as their headquarters.

"We want this construction to be completed as soon as possible, and we hope this venue can help athletes in their final preparations for PON, especially Papua as the host," he said.

He added that the roller skating venue was world active because the track specifications were made according to international standards.

"Starting from the completeness of facilities and infrastructure, all of which are of international standard, by using the final coating from Vesmaco Italy and the timing system from America, the Buper venue will be the best roller skating venue in the Asian continent," said Jeffry.
