There are 1,068,590 DPS and 3,582 polling stations in the Pilkada Papua




The provisional voter list (DPS) in 11 districts participating in the 2020 regional head election (Pilkada) reached 1,068,590 voters. Later, that number will increase.

"DPS has reached 1,068,590 voters. The number of polling stations (TPS) in 11 districts is 3,582 polling stations," said Secretary of the Papua General Election Commission (KPU), Ryllo Ashuri Panay.

Ryllo added that the 11 districts that held the elections were Nabire Regency with DPS totaling 184,820 voters and 501 polling stations. Then Waropen with 38,348 voters and 139 polling stations, Asmat with 88,244 voters with 305 TPS.

Furthermore, said Ryllo, there is Yahukimo Regency with 306,171 voters with 866 polling stations, Yalimo with 89,438 voters and 327 polling stations, Mamberamo Raya with 25,075 voters with 172 polling stations.

"There are Supiori as many as 16,791 DPS with 59 TPS, Keerom as many as 53,868 voters with 185 polling stations," he said.

Furthermore, Ryllo said, the next regency is Bintang Mountains with 104,196 voters with 373 polling stations, Boven Digul with 31,395 voters with 201 TPS and Merauke Regency 130,244 voters with 489 polling stations.

"For pilkada participants in 11 regencies, currently there are 35 pairs of candidates for regent and deputy regent registered," he said.
