SOEs Also Participate in Enhancing the Competence of Human Resources in Papua and West Papua |
BUMN through the Indonesian Human Capital Forum (FHCI) supports equal employment opportunities for human resources from all regions of Indonesia, including from Papua and West Papua. In order to improve the competency of the province's human resources, FHCI organized an event titled "Kitorang Papua Children Ready to Serve the Nation" at Pertamina Building.

This event is an Inauguration of the Papua & West Papua SOE Joint Recruitment Program (PPB), which is also part of a series of State Defender Education & Training activities carried out at the Pusdikzi (Indonesian Army Engineer Education Center) in Bogor, West Java.

In his remarks, Erick Thohir, Minister of BUMN, appreciated the FHCI program in producing the best talents to meet Indonesia as a developed country in 2045.

President Joko Widodo declared Indonesia in 2045 to be a developed country with an income of Rp 320 million per capita per year or Rp 27 million per capita per month, Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product reached US $ 7 trillion, and the Indonesian economy is already in the top 5 world economies with poverty close to zero percent.

"BUMN as an engine of economic growth is one of the main elements to achieve the national ideals of becoming a developed country. The SOE Ministry appreciates the talents from Papua and West Papua to directly contribute to creating added value to the economy and empowering people, "said the SOE Minister.

Herdy Harman, Chairperson of the BUMN FHCI, explained that SOEs faced challenges in the era of digital disruption and welcomed the 4.0 technology-based industrial revolution.

"To prepare SOE talents, including those from the provinces of Papua and West Papua, the FHCI urges SOEs to practice the concept of human resource management which includes aspects of people, culture, organization, and digitizing process so as to form talents that have strong character, love of the motherland, are competitive high, collaborate, and create added value (creating value). We believe that talents from Papua and West Papua are ready to implement it, "said Herdy.

According to Herdy, the organization of the Papua and West Papua UN gave provision to 522 participants coming from these two provinces in facing future challenges and business opportunities,

"In terms of readiness of the talents in facing the industrial era 4.0, 522 talents from Papua and West Papua spread across 38 BUMN have demonstrated a culture of collaborative and adaptive which will become their provisions to contribute to BUMN companies. "Of course, FHCI hopes that these talents will also be part of the elements that support the national economy in the future," said Herdy.
