The Government of the Papua Province has ensured that the seven Industrial Work Training Centers (BLKI) are immediately restructured, so that efforts to reduce the high unemployment rate on the earth of Cenderawasih can be maximized.

"If DPR RI legislators say that the performance of the BLKIs in Bumi Cenderawasih has not been maximized, then we will fix the BLKI in Papua again because there are indeed many instruments which are actually inadequate and no longer functioning". said Secretary of Papua Hery Dosinaen, addressing the criticism of the House of Representatives Commission IX who made a working visit to Jayapura, Friday (02/28/2020).

"And this is an important note for us to look forward to so that we improve. So that the existing BLKIs can truly train Papuan children to become reliable workforce in the future, "he continued.

While the Papua Provincial Government's meeting with the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission was revealed, the Indonesian House of Representatives highlighted the existence of seven BLKIs belonging to the Government of the Papua Province that have not been properly utilized to improve workforce competence.

Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission IX Emanuel Melkiades Lakalena admitted that he was shocked and concerned because seven BLKIs in Papua had not been maximally utilized to create jobs.

"This BLKI in Papua is a problem because it is not used to produce skilled and skilled workers". he stressed.

"So this is a problem, because the need for labor is not well trained. Even though the BLKI was built with the aim that prospective workers could be trained there before entering the job market. So I think it needs to be addressed immediately, "he continued.

The Golkar Party legislator hopes that in the future there will be good cooperation and coordination with various parties to take advantage of and maximize the existence of BLKI throughout the Cenderawasih Earth.
