PT Telkomsel for the Papua region said that ahead of Christmas and the 2023 New Year, they are preparing three service points to make it easier for people to communicate with their families.
General Manager Network Deployment and Control Telkomsel Pausuka Saptono told Antara in Jayapura, Wednesday, said that for the three points, namely at Sentani Airport, then Jayapura Harbor, Trisila Jayapura Field, and Biak Numfor Regency at Hadi Supermarket.
"We hope everyone can take advantage of the services that have been provided," he said.
According to Saptono, for the peak of Christmas and New Year, data use is predicted to increase by 18 percent compared to normal days and increase by 19 percent compared to last year's period.
"Meanwhile, telephone usage decreased by 2.57 percent and the number of subscribers decreased by 0.8 percent compared to normal days," he said.
He explained that for this reason, his party ensures readiness to support connectivity infrastructure and leading digital services to welcome Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 through the Telkomsel Siaga Program.
"We are also making efforts to strengthen the capacity and quality of the leading broadband network that has been carried out by Telkomsel in 493 priority area points throughout Indonesia, which have the potential to experience significant telecommunication traffic growth," he said.
He added that his party also provides various special programs and promos for customers, which are also presented to provide added value for customers in enjoying the serious moments of Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 in Indonesia.
"We also launched an initiative to share unlimited love with orphans from orphanages and the elderly from nursing homes in the cities of Ambon, Solo, Medan and Bogor," he said.
