The Indonesian Pencak Silat Association (IPSI) in Nabire Regency, sends its flagship athletes to participate in the 20th Papua National Sports Week (PON) in 2021.
The athlete is on behalf of Devi Sutanti, who will represent Papua Province in the Singles Arts category, the Pencak Silat branch.
Apart from sending Devi Sutanti, IPSI Nabire also sent Suriyono to represent the Papua Province contingent as the Coordinator of Trainers at Pon Papua XX
As the IPSI secretary for Nabire district, Putra Aminudin hopes that in the future there will be more and more Pencak Silat athletes from Nabire who can raise the reputation of both the regions at the provincial and national to international levels.
"In the future, it is hoped that there will be more pencak silat players from Nabire district who can make the district proud, both at the provincial and national levels," said Putra Aminudin.
To realize this, Putra hopes that the Nabire district government can support IPSI as the official organization in charge of the Pencak Silat branch.
