The Price of Staples in the Phara Sentani Market in Papua is Normal |
Prices for a number of staples such as rice, sugar, meat, cooking oil, beans, and dried fish, in the Phara Sentani Market, Jayapura Regency, Papua Province were normal despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Head of the Jayapura Regency Industry and Trade Office, Yos Livie Yoku at Sentani, said the price of basic commodities was known through the list of Phara Sentani Market trade commodities issued per week.
He said according to the list of trading commodity prices at the Phara Sentani Market as of Wednesday, 3-10 June 2020, retail rice Logistics Bureau was still being sold at Rp 12,000 per kilogram.
Furthermore, he said, the retail price of premium rice was still being sold at Rp15,000 per kilogram and the retail price of local brown rice was Rp20,000 per kilogram.
Prices of white rice retail prices are still marketed at a price of Rp20,000 per kilogram, black rice Rp28,000 per kilogram. While Gulaku is Rp. 20,000 per pack, brown sugar is Rp. 35,000 per pack.
Livie said the price of Bimoli cooking oil during that period was still sold at Rp. 18,000 per liter and Rp. 60,000 for chicken meat, Rp. 140,000 per kilogram of beef, peanuts and red beans each for Rp. 35,000 per kilogram, and green beans Rp.30,000 per kilogram.
Dried fish, dried purih fish, tilapia fish and shrimp also remain normal. Dried fish are still marketed at a price of Rp. 90,000 per kilogram, purih fish Rp. 100,000 per kilogram, tilapia fish Rp. 100,000 per rope and shrimp are still sold at a price of Rp. 100,000 per kilogram.
