Papua Governor Lukas Enembe's children and wife are invited by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to provide clarification directly to investigators regarding the alleged bribery and gratification case of Lukas. The Corruption Eradication Commission regrets that Lukas' wife and children have clarified that they are represented by a lawyer.
Previously, Lukas Enembe's son, Astract Bona Timoramo and his wife, Yulce Wendadi, were summoned as witnesses to the alleged bribery and gratification case of Lukas Enembe on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. "If you feel you don't know anything about the case, please convey all the information directly before the investigators by witnesses, not by other parties," said Acting KPK Spokesperson Ali Fikri via a short message, Monday (10/10/2022).
The KPK will reschedule the examination of Yulce and Extract as witnesses. The KPK threatened to forcibly pick up Luke's wife and children if they did not comply with the repeated summons for the examination. Therefore, the KPK asked both of them to cooperate.
"We hope that the person concerned is cooperative and attends according to the schedule, time and place in the summons that we have conveyed properly," said Ali.
"With this cooperative attitude, the law enforcement process becomes faster, more effective and efficient. The KPK also ensures that in handling this case, we uphold the principle of the presumption of innocence," he added.
For your information, the KPK has named Papuan Governor Lukas Enembe as a suspect. Based on the information gathered, Lukas is suspected of being involved in a number of alleged corruption cases.
Among other things, related to accepting bribes and project gratification in the Papua region. Luke was named a suspect along with other parties. Unfortunately, the KPK has not disclosed in detail the construction of the case that ensnared Lukas Enembe and other suspects.
To note, Lukas has been prevented from traveling abroad by the Directorate General (DG) of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) at the request of the KPK. He was prevented from traveling abroad for the next six months from September 7, 2022 to March 7, 2023.
Not only that, the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) has also blocked accounts belonging to Lukas Enembe and related parties. The blocking was carried out because the PPATK found that there was an odd or suspicious financial transaction. The latest information, there are PPATK findings related to Luke's financial transactions that flow to gambling houses aka casinos abroad. PPATK said the number was almost half a trillion. The KPK is currently investigating the PPATK's findings.
