The Representative Office (KPw) of Bank Indonesia (BI) Papua Province stated that the role of business actors is very important in economic activities, especially in the upcoming three New Autonomous Regions (DOB).
Head of the BI Regional Economic and Financial Policy Formulation Team for Papua Province, Agni Alam Awirya, told Antara in Jayapura, Saturday, that Kadin was a part of economic growth. This is seen from the perspective of business actors.
"In terms of business actors, they can optimize production factors so that they become quality products and are able to open up employment opportunities," he said
According to Agni, the role of entrepreneurs is very important in economic activities, especially in shaping economic outcomes through optimizing production factors, including natural resources and human resources.
"With the three new autonomous regions, new economic sources are needed, apart from mining," he said.
He explained that each new province has the potential for new economic resources, whether from the agriculture, fisheries, and mining sectors, which need a joint study from BI, regional governments, and other relevant agencies.
"We have to review again and need to develop the potentials that exist in each new autonomous region about what is suitable for mountainous Papua, Central Papua and South Papua," he said again.
He added that sectors with new growth in the new autonomous regions must have a big impact, so that jobs become more available and community involvement becomes wider and the results of development can be enjoyed by the wider community.
