The Department of Communication and Information (Diskominfo) Jayapura Regency, Papua Province, together with the Faculty of Engineering and Information Systems, Yapis University, Papua, collaborated in implementing the Merdeka Learning Independent Campus (MKBM) curriculum.
Head of the Jayapura Regency Communications and Information Office, Gustaf Griapon, in a press release received in Jayapura, Thursday, said the collaboration was aimed at increasing the competence of graduates from Yapis Papua University (Uniyap) in science.
According to Gustaf, the collaboration is the MBKM curriculum at the Informatics Study Program, Faculty of Engineering and Information Systems, Uniyap.
"In the future, students practice work or internships, research (research) then there can be implementation practices in every district in Jayapura Regency," he said.
He added that the cooperation between the Jayapura Regency Communications and Informatics Service with the Faculty of Engineering and Information Systems of Uniyap Papua will last for the next five years.
Gustaf hopes that this collaboration will not only improve student abilities, but also help increase skills and "soft skills" as well as become an MBKM program from "project independent".
"In addition, it can also provide opportunities to enrich the learning experience for students," he said.
