The Regional Planning and Development Agency (Bappeda) of Papua Province in public consultations with the Regional Action Plan for Food and Nutrition or RAD-PG will refine the document as a tool for medium-term development plans.
Acting Head of Economic Affairs of the Bappeda Papua Province, Syahrudin Kadir in Jayapura, Wednesday, said the RAD-PG public consultation was conducted to sharpen the program in order to improve the document.
"Actually, this is for solving food and nutrition problems at the mother and child level so that it is hoped that it can create a generation of Papuans who are more qualified according to the vision and mission of the regional head," said Syahrudin.
He explained that his party hopes that if the document has been completed, it will become a very useful instrument or tool for development plans for the area.
"So for the transition period, we can use this document to enrich the direction of future development policies," said Syahrudin.
Meanwhile, the Head of the UNICEF Representative Office for Papua and West Papua, Aminudin Mohammad Ramdan said that in forming the RAD-PG, his party had accompanied the Papua Provincial Bappeda from the start to the preparation of the process to the implementation of public consultations for document refinement.
"Later on from this consultation there will be a regional action plan in the form of a Papuan Governor's decision or regional regulation, but what is certain is that the regional government will issue an RAD-PG which will then become a reference for districts and cities to form RAD-PG in each region," Aminudin said. Mohammad Ramdan.
