KKB members arrested while crawling into the TNI post in Nduga Papua

TNI arrested members of the armed criminal group (KKB). The KKB member was arrested while infiltrating a TNI post in Nduga, Papua.

Kapendam XVII/Cenderawasih Lieutenant Colonel Kav Herman Taryaman said the arrests began with security disturbances by KKB gangs at the Quari Atas Kindergarten Post, Infantry Battalion R 431/SSP.
 
"At that time, TNI soldiers saw an unknown person trying to enter the Quari Post for Yonif R 431/SSP by crawling, then TNI soldiers tried to arrest the OTK," Herman said in his statement quoted on Wednesday (27/4/2022).

He said, more than one intruder. In fact, he said, he fired shots at the TNI post and then the TNI members responded with four shots.

"But the OTK did not surrender, but returned fire and immediately ran towards the river," he said.

According to him, one KKB member who was arrested has now been handed over to the Cartenz Damai Post, Nduga Police, Papua.
