Social Minister Builds 76 Healthy Homes for Papua Flash Flood Victims, Target Completion in August

The Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Tri Rismaharini, during his working visit to Papua, in addition to providing assistance to flood victims in Jayapura City, he also laid the first stone for the construction of healthy houses for 76 Heads of Families (KK) victims of the 2019 flash flood, in Kampung Doyo Baru, Waibu District, Jayapura Regency, Papua, Friday (14/1).

"Hopefully, the house for assistance will be completed before August, so that it can be occupied by ladies and gentlemen," said Risma.

Risma emphasized that the administrative process has been completed and now the construction phase has begun with the laying of the first stone for the construction of a healthy house.

According to the schedule, it will be completed on 17 August. However, we hope that the construction will be completed sooner so that they can occupy a decent house.

"I hope that later on August 17, a red and white flag hoisting ceremony can be held at this location. Hopefully it can help our brothers and sisters in this refugee location," he said.

With the construction of this aid house, it is hoped that the lives of residents can be better. Later we will facilitate them to be able to access the economy, so that they can carry out their activities better.
