Director General of Housing Provision at the Ministry of Public Works and Housing Khalawi Abdul Hamid said that his party spent a budget of Rp. 25 billion to build the State Flats (Rusunara) of the Ministry of Finance of Papua Province. It is planned to be built in 2022 with Type 36 with 3 floors consisting of 44 residential units and a total capacity of 176 people.
In addition to assistance in the form of physical construction of buildings and their utilities, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing through the Directorate General of Housing will also provide building support facilities in the form of furniture consisting of bunk beds and wardrobes.
"It will be equipped with electricity connections and clean water facilities as well as Facilities and Utilities Infrastructure (PSU) so that this building is ready to be used," said Khalawi in laying the first stone for Rusunara via the Ministry of Finance Youtube, Jayapura, Friday (26/11).
Accelerate Infrastructure Development
The current government policy focuses on accelerating infrastructure development, as a step taken to accelerate economic growth. The role of the Ministry of PUPR in building the quality of the nation in order to win global competition is through infrastructure development for people in all corners of the country, including in the housing sector.
"It is hoped that the construction of the ASN Flats of the Ministry of Finance of the Papua Province can improve the quality of life and encourage the improvement of the performance of ASN in making a positive contribution to the achievement of the President's mission to build advanced Indonesia," he said.
The Ministry of PUPR has previously built 3,175 units of flats for ASN from 2015-2021 which are spread throughout Indonesia. Currently, there are 39 towers of flats built in Papua Province.
"I hope that these flats can be used, maintained and managed as well as possible," he said.
