TNI soldiers Babinsa Koramil 1709-04/West Yapen Serda David Irwan and Kopda Benyamin Arisoy use rowboats to take the YPK 2 Sion Elementary School students, Ansus Village, Yapen Islands Regency to school.
Babinsa Serda David in his statement on Wednesday said the activity of dropping off and picking up children to school was carried out because they saw the high enthusiasm of students in studying.
"Seeing this enthusiasm, we use boats to help children in studying at school," he said.
Serda David mentioned that the trip by boat from the village to the school took 15 minutes.
"Not only were they delivered to the ground, but we took the children to their respective school doors," Babinsa explained.
Babinsa added, these children are the next generation of the nation's youth, so it is our obligation to help them in studying well.
"So that the children can realize their dreams in the future in advancing this region," hoped Serda David.
Meanwhile, one of the parents of Ismail Aronggear students expressed his gratitude to Babinsa.
"We are very grateful for Babinsa's presence in this village apart from maintaining security and order in this area, Mr. Babinsa also supports our children in attending school by picking up and dropping our children off to school," he said.
