District. Sorong Selatan expressed its support for the sustainability of
Otsus.
The implementation of Otsus Papua is considered to have
contributed to physical and non-physical development in Papua,
regardless of whether or not the management of the Special Autonomy Fund
by local elites is optimal. However, in the future, fundamental changes
are needed to the mechanism for managing the Special Autonomy Fund.
"The
community supports the policy of implementing Otsus Papua to catch up,
but the quality of the management of the Special Autonomy Fund must be
improved so that the benefits received by the community from Otsus Papua
can be evenly and maximally," said Eppy.
The existence of a
campaign against Otsus Volume II which was carried out by utilizing the
issue of the welfare of the Papuan people, was considered by Eppy to be
not very influential.
"The community will certainly support Otsus
Papua because its regulations and implementation actually bring
prosperity to all Papuan people," concluded Eppy.
