"This budget is focused on infrastructure and connectivity development, improving the quality and effectiveness of social protection programs, as well as defense and security to support stability," he said.

However, the implementation of various activities planned for 2022 should be initiated and coordinated immediately, so that they do not overlap and do not pile up at the end of the fiscal year.

The Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury of the Papua Province, Burhani A.S, in his report said that the allocation of the 2022 State Budget in Papua Province was Rp. 57.41 trillion, an increase of 0.63 percent from the previous year.

"Of the total state expenditures for 2022 in Papua, Rp. 13.93 trillion was allocated for 623 DIPA work units of State Ministries/Institutions, an increase of 0.48% compared to the previous year," he explained.

Furthermore, Rp43.47 trillion in the form of TKDD allocations for Provinces/Regencies/Cities, an increase of 0.63% from the previous year.

For this reason, the Regents/Mayors and KPA Work Units/OPD in Papua are asked to properly prepare the 2022 development programs so that they can run effectively from early January 2020 and provide the widest possible benefit to the community.

In addition, ensuring that budget allocations are focused on main activities, which are directly felt by the community, limiting and saving on supporting expenditures such as meeting costs, business trips, and honorariums.
