But suddenly the victim was shot by a separatist group. (10/11)

“At that time the victim was traveling home from the market. The situation that happened made him panic, finally trying to run to save himself. Maybe it was because he ran away that attracted the attention of the separatists, and ended up being shot just like that,”

Agustina Ondou is known to have suffered gunshot wounds to her waist and right temple. After the incident, the victims were immediately evacuated by a number of youths, government officials and members of the TNI to the Yokatapa Health Center. He added that currently the victim has been referred by plane to the Mitra Masyarakat Hospital in Timika City for further treatment.

“Indeed, the medical staff immediately handled it at the Yokatapa Health Center, yesterday brought several youths, there are also local government people (local government) who were escorted by the TNI. Now his position is in Timika, "

According to sources, Agustina Ondou's shooting was similar to the attack by a separatist group that targeted two toddlers, Yoakim Majau and Nopelianus Sondegau, on October 27, 2021.

The ongoing security disturbances carried out by the separatist group led by Undinus Kogoya have caused unrest for a number of people in Intan Jaya. It is known that around 500 people were forced to leave their villages and take refuge in churches or security posts.

According to sources, several times it was found that separatist groups dared to raid people's homes to get some food items by threatening them. These actions have finally made residents feel afraid and choose to find a place that is considered safer.

“Approximately 500 people are now at the church or at security posts seeking protection because threats from separatist groups have dared to come to their homes, they are all very afraid. Fortunately, several members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the National Police are now also on guard at the places where residents have fled," he said.
