The community in a number of districts in the central highlands of Papua has so far been able to enjoy Telkomsel's cellular telecommunications network services.
Telkomsel Jayapura Network Manager Heri Suryanto in Jayapura, Sunday, said that with the availability of Telkomsel's 4G service, people in the local area can communicate using cell phones in the form of voice, data/text, video images, photos, and the internet.
"Telkomsel's 4G network in the mountainous areas of Papua really supports the daily activities of residents in using cellular phone services," said Heri accompanied by Telkomsel Branch Manager Jayapura Anas.
Telkomsel's 4G network facilities in mountainous areas were built with the government through the provision of the USO BTS network with the Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI).
He hopes that the availability of Telkomsel's 4G service network will be maintained properly so that community communication service activities and the needs of government development services in a number of mountainous districts of Papua will continue smoothly.
Some of the mountainous areas of Papua include Nabire, Paniai, Deiyai, Jayawijaya, Bintang Mountains, Tolikara, Yahukimo, Central Mamberamo, Puncak Jaya, Puncak, Yalimo, and Lanny Jaya districts.
