In the fourth plenary meeting which was held online or zoom, the DPR Papua Budget Agency (Banggar) requested an explanation from the Papuan Governor regarding activities that still require additional funds in the implementation of the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON).
Where, this meeting was chaired directly by the Chairperson of the Papuan DPR, Jhony Banua Rouw, SE accompanied by Deputy Chair III of the Papuan DPR, Yulianus Rumbairussy, SSos, MM. And physically attended by 50 percent of Papuan DPR members and 50 percent online or zoom.
In addition, the DPR Papua Budget Agency also asked the Papuan Governor to explain the use of the 2019 and 2020 grants, which were given to KONI Papua and PB PON XX Papua.
This was stated by H. Kusmanto when submitting a report from the Papua DPR Budget Agency at the IV DPR Papua plenary meeting with the agenda of the Raperda on Accountability for the Implementation of the Papua Province APBD in 2020, which took place in the Papua DPR meeting room, Tuesday night (14/09).
"So, most of the grant spending is for activities that support PON XX Papua, which should have been implemented in 2020, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the implementation was postponed to 2021," said H. Kusmanto.
Thus, the Budget Board of the DPR Papua is of the opinion that with the postponement of the implementation of the XX Papua PON in 2020, all activities supporting the implementation of the XX Papua PON should have been completed.
"However, in reality there are still unfinished activities and still need additional funds," he said.
In addition, the Papuan PKS politician continued, the Papua DPR Budget Board also asked the Governor for an explanation on the percentage of the Papua Province Special Autonomy (Otsus) funding that had been allocated for education costs (30 percent) as well as health and nutrition improvement for the community (15 percent).
To that end, Kusmanto added, if the DPR Papua Budget Board hopes that the spending savings of Rp 12.29 percent will not interfere with the achievement of effectiveness and quality as well as functional targets for these expenditures.
