The Indonesian Pamtas Task Force-PNG Infantry Battalion 131/Brs Pos Ramil Tami teaches how to cook rendang which is a Minang specialty in Skouw Village, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City, Papua.
On the sidelines of the activity, Danpos Ramil Tami, First Lieutenant Inf. Jinopen explained that this joint cooking activity was aimed at increasing friendship and also introducing Minang rending specialties, especially to women.
"We do this joint cooking activity in our spare time, so it doesn't interfere with their activities, so that moms can know how to make Minang rendang," he said.
Mama Uberta (43), who took part in the rending cooking activity, looked happy and enthusiastic to follow it until the end.
“We are grateful for being taught how to cook rendang, which so far we can only buy it. But now we can do it," he said.
