The government is targeting young entrepreneurs in Papua to participate in distributing their goods in the sea highway connectivity project.
Head of the Port Authority and Authority Office (KSOP) for Class II Jayapura, Taher Laitupa, said that as a regulator and implementer of the Sea Toll program, he must participate in innovating in glorifying the marine toll program by going directly to the business community to market the products they produce. Therefore, he continued, entrepreneurs must first get to know the marine highway ecosystem in the world of shipping.
"We carried out socialization of the provision of Sea Toll Roads and assistance for new business actors in Supiori Regency as well as the MoU aboard the KM Logistik Nusantara 2 ship at Korido Port," he said through a press release, quoted on Friday (6/18/2021).
Taher targets young entrepreneurs because they see a high potential. The young entrepreneurs are now members of the HIPMI (Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association).
"We also carried out direct monitoring visits to the location of the Copra Farmer area with the Supiori Regency Government, namely from the Industry and Trade Department and from the Supiori Regency Transportation Agency," he added.
Head of Section Lala and Port Business of KSOP Jayapura, Willem Thobias Fofid who was the speaker, with the direct socialization, making the Sea Toll more attractive to local entrepreneurs so that the optimization of backloading can continue to increase, especially for young business people with an investment spirit and working in Business Shipping or Shipping Business in the Marine Highway ecosystem.
