Chronology of Nasdem Politicians Allegedly Depositing IDR 370 Million for KKB

An unscrupulous National Democratic (Nasdem) politician who is the chairman of the Tolikara Regency DPRD with the initials SAW is suspected of having deposited money to Ratius Murib alias Neson Murib.

It is suspected that this amount of money will be used to buy weapons used by the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB) to carry out rebellions against the government.

Papuan Police Chief Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri said Ratius Murib acted as a supplier of firearms for the Papuan KKB in Puncak Jaya Regency.

Meanwhile, Head of the Nemangkawi Public Relations Task Force, Kombes M Iqbal Alqudusy revealed that SAW's involvement was revealed after Ratius Murib was arrested in Puncak Jaya Regency on Monday (13/6/2021).

From the examination of Ratius Murib, several things were revealed that led to the involvement of politicians and the Puncak Jaya Regency Government (Pemkab) in assisting the Papuan KKB led by Lekagak Telenggen.

"We are still conducting investigations regarding the evidence of the transactions found, including whether or not the flow of funds to Lekagak Telenggen," said Kombes M Iqbal Alqudusy to Tribun-Papua.com (SURYA.co.id group), Wednesday (16/6/2021) .

From the investigator's investigation, said Iqbal, SAW handed over Rp 370 million to Ratius Murib at the Metta Star Waena Hotel, Jayapura City, in mid-April 2021.

"Neson Murib received the money directly," he said.

In addition to cash, the police also found records of assistance from the Puncak Jaya Regency Government of Rp 600 million for the KKB leader, Lekagak Telenggen, on February 6, 2021. Not only that, in the notebook brought by Ratius Murib, it was revealed that there was a rejection of Papua's Special Autonomy (Otsus). .

"All names with evidence of the transfer will definitely be called by investigators," he said.

Regarding Ratius Murib's arrest, Papuan Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri revealed that Ratius Murib had repeatedly carried out illegal buying and selling of firearms and ammunition.

"The total that was sent and received was Rp 1.3 billion," said Fakhiri.

According to him, it is strongly suspected that the money will be used to buy firearms in Mimika Regency.

"Why did he bring up to Rp. 370 million of money. The information we got was that he wanted to meet his acquaintances in Timika. Most likely it was to buy weapons," said Fakhiri.

Fakhiri stated that Neson Murib's presence in Puncak Jaya was because he was in transit before flying back to Mimika. Meanwhile, until this news was published, the Tolikara Regency NasDem party officials could not be contacted.

Previously, Ratius was arrested at Mulia Airport, Puncak Jaya Regency, who was looking for firearms and ammunition for the KKB led by Lekagak Telenggen.

"RM (Ratius Murib) has confessed to investigators, including the flow of funds obtained to buy rifles and ammunition," said Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri.

The regional police chief said that investigators were still investigating the confession of Ratius, who was arrested on Tuesday (15/6/2021) when he was about to fly to Timika.

When contacted via his cell phone, the Kapolda said that the arrest of Ratius occurred when he was about to continue his journey to Timika by plane.

Actually, according to Fakhiri, the report he received stated that Ratius, who used the Rimbun Air plane, flew from Nabire to Timika, Monday (14/6/2021) on the Nabire-Mulia (Puncak Jaya)-Timika route.

However, when he arrived in Mulia, Monday (14/6), the plane experienced a problem so that on Tuesday (15/6/2021) the flight continued.

"At that time, a member of the Mulia Airport KP3 knew the whereabouts of the person concerned, then reported it, and then the officers arrested RM (Ratius)," said Fakhiri.

When asked about the origin of the money that was secured with Ratius, the Papuan Police Chief said that he got the money from someone who is still being investigated by investigators.

"Regarding the flow of funds held by Ratius, it is still under investigation. Further developments will be informed again," said Papuan Police Chief Inspector General Pol Fakhiri.

Ratius was secured with evidence in the form of Rp370 million in cash, three cellphones, and various other evidence, including a notebook.
