The West Sumatra Provincial Government is targeting 16 gold medals in the XX Papua PON 2021 event. To support this target, as much as 20 billion budget is prepared in the 2021 APBD.
This was conveyed by the Head of West Sumatra, Bustavidia, after attending the West Sumatra KONI Rakerda in Padang Panjang.
Bustavidia continued, that much budget was earmarked for training camps and costs for departing to Papua later.
Meanwhile, the matter of Porprov Bustavidia will discuss with regencies and cities.
"According to the governor's instructions, if the pandemic ramps up, it is possible that the Porprov event could be held in 2021 and it depends on the host's preparation," he said.
Meanwhile, Ketum KONI West Sumatra Syaiful added, this Porprov is indeed a tough job for all of us.
"Therefore, a synergy is needed between the West Sumatra KONI and the city district KONI and sports administrators. Particularly the support of the regents and mayors," he said.
Syaiful also said that the Porprov implementer was also one of the ingredients in this Regional Working Meeting.
