For the umpteenth time, attacks on security personnel, be it TNI or Polri, have been carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua.

He explained that as a result of the attack, 4 of the 12 soldiers suffered gunshot wounds to the legs while crossing the wooden bridge 2 in Yapimakot Village, Serambakon District, Bintang Mountains Regency, Tuesday (18/5/2021) night.
Izak also recounted the chronology of the attack. It started when the group of TNI soldiers in a four-wheeled vehicle returned to Serambakon after shopping at Oksibil. When he was around the wooden bridge, suddenly the engine of the vehicle the army was riding died.
Even the TNI member got out and saw the condition of the car. However, suddenly they were attacked by gunfire, resulting in a firefight.
As a result, Serka Dian Hardiana and Praka Kuku Ismail from Infantry Battalion 310 / KK, Serda Sukrisdianto Yonif and Pratu Romi from Infantry Battalion 403 / WP suffered gunshot wounds.
"The victims have now been evacuated and treated at Marthen Indey Hospital, Jayapura," Izak explained as quoted by Kompas.com, Thursday (20/5/2021).
As previously reported by KOMPAS TV, the gunfire occurred when 12 TNI personnel were repairing a car that broke down in the Serembakon Timber Bridge area.
As a result of the attack, four TNI personnel suffered gunshot wounds to the legs.
"That's right, around 10 o'clock they went to Oksibil to shop for groceries for the post. There were two units, six people from Task Force 403 and six people from Pamtas Mobile Pinang Sirih, so there were 12 people in total. When the 12 TNI soldiers were repairing the car, gunfire was heard. The soldiers returned the shot.
"When they repaired the car there was a shot, they immediately returned fire. But it turned out that the shot earlier hit them in the legs of four people," continued Izak.
