Reported from the Public Relations of the Merauke Police that the 20th National Sports Week (PON) will soon take place, one of the areas that has won the government's trust is Merauke Regency, the government must begin to review the readiness associated with organizing PON.
This was conveyed by Hengki Denualik as the traditional leader in Merauke district.
"Preparations in order to face the implementation of PON have to be started, so that the organizers should not be confused when its implementation later," explained Hengki.
Furthermore, Hengki said, the people of Merauke must be proud to have been given the trust to host this national event, it is not easy to get it, therefore we all have to support the implementation of this 20th PON.
As the customary leader in Merauke, he stated that the community components in Merauke district support the 20th PON, and no one should reject it.
"I appeal to the Animha indigenous people to support the holding of this national event, and I emphasize that no one should reject it.
The involvement of indigenous peoples in this activity is very important, especially in security and economic activities, this is intended to provide a sense of comfort and improve the welfare of the indigenous people themselves.
So I hope the Merauke district government can see this and provide opportunities for the indigenous people themselves, concluded Hengki.
