The Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Urges Gultor to Deploy Denjaka




MPR Chairman Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet) urged the government to move quickly to eradicate the armed criminal group (KKB) in Papua. Security forces must be added.

"If necessary, reduce the strength of the four best dimensions that we have besides the Police Mobile Brigade. Gultor (Unit 81) Kopassus, Battalion Raider, Unit Bravo 90, and Detachment Jalamangkara (Denjaka), "said Bamsoet in a written statement, Monday, April 26, 2021.

Bamsoet said there was no tolerance for KKB. Assertiveness is needed after the death of the Head of the Papua Regional State Intelligence Agency (Kabinda), Brig. Gen. I Gusti Putu, Danny Nugraha Karya.

The Golkar Party politician asked that human rights issues be put aside in responding to the KKB. The separatist group's actions must end immediately.

"TNI, Polri, and intelligence must continue to pursue and take firm action against the KKB without hesitation," said Bamsoet.

The apparatus, said Bamsoet, must intensify joint patrols in Papua. Vital objects and the environment of the population must receive extra attention.

"To provide a sense of security while at the same time narrowing the space for the KKB to move," said Bamsoet.
