The Papua National Sports Week (PB PON) Grand Committee said that the implementation of the Chef de Mission (CdM) Meeting II of the XX PON could be an answer to the shortcomings that needed to be corrected in order to make the four-year sports event on Cenderawasih Earth a success.
In the CdM Meeting II, the Daily Chairperson of PB PON Papua Yunus Wonda in Jayapura, Friday said that there were many inputs from the contingent delegates from each province and these would be used as input and suggestions for improvement.
"What is the obstacle will be given special attention so that it can be fixed in the future," said Yunus Wonda after closing CdM Meeting II PON XX Papua.
According to Yunus, his party is committed to increasing all the resources that Papua has in order to make the PON Papua a success which will take place from 2-15 October.
In line with Yunus Wonda, Chairman of the Panwasrah PON XX Papua Team, Suwarno, said there are several things that must be paid more attention to, starting from health, accommodation, consumption to inputting athletes' names.
"For example, for accommodation, namely flights, we have to reconsider how long the journey and rest time are needed by athletes and officials," he said.
"Then the consumption sector, where the concept is centrally carried out by distant clusters like Merauke so that they can improve consumption services in the field," he added.
With regard to health, said Suwarno, is how to get all athletes and officials as well as the public to be vaccinated before participating in PON Papua.
"The plan is that after the implementation of this CdM, we will compile a road show plan and delegate what to do," concluded Suwarno.
