"He (the teacher) is not a conflicted figure, but an educator of children. He is not involved in or belonging to an interest group. So anyone should respect. If the teacher is shot, killed, that is in our opinion barbaric, "said Unifah again.
"Teachers must be protected. In Papua there is a shortage of teachers so we ask that they be protected by the government. And the security apparatus provides guarantees to teachers, "said Unifah.
Previously reported, KKSB led by Sabinus Waker reportedly also burned down a number of schools in Beoga District, Puncak Papua Regency, namely SD Jambul, SMPN 1, and SMA 1 Beoga.
The Deputy Governor of Papua, Klemen Tinal, also criticized the barbaric act, who said that the action and the perpetrators of the shooting of teachers in Papua were barbaric acts. The same thing was also expressed by the Regent of Puncak Wilem Wandik, the KKB's barbaric action tarnished human values. "Teachers and medical personnel are humanitarian fighters.
