Pilkada in Papua should not be a trigger for conflict

Regional election organizers are asked to maintain professionalism and integrity in the 2020 regional head elections (Pilkada).

This assertion was expressed by the Commissioner of the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia, Ilham Saputra, to the KPU ranks in 11 districts / cities that are holding simultaneous regional elections in Papua.

Ilham emphasized that regional administrators should not be a trigger for conflict in the community. This conflict usually occurs at the time of voting.

"Don't let the KPU's decisions become conflicted. This must be avoided, "he said

To avoid conflict in the regional elections, Ilham emphasized that the Indonesian KPU would continue to strengthen the organizers at the regional level.

"It is very important to strengthen the KPU ranks at the regional level," he said.

KPU, said Ilham, must prepare itself to work professionally and with integrity.

This means that no one may intervene as soon as a ruling, and no one violates statutory regulations.

Or else, then the conflict was caused or there was an intention that the organizers deliberately made to win a pair of candidates. This should not be done by the organizer.
