The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Manokwari Regency, West Papua, has prepared as many as 500 polling station supervisors (TPS) for the simultaneous Pilkada on December 9, 2020.
"In Manokwari there are a total of 500 polling stations, so in the implementation of the voting, one person will supervise one TPS," said Manokwari Regency Bawaslu member Nur Laila Muhammad in Manokwari.
He hopes that the supervision of this regional election can be maximized, because one supervisor only focuses on one TPS. After being inaugurated on 16 November they have also undergone technical guidance.
In fact, to optimize the performance of supervisors, continued Laila, Bawaslu also provided technical guidance for them twice.
"We have conducted the first technical guidance after they were appointed. The second technical guidance will be carried out on December 3," he said.
He hopes that each supervisor understands all of his duties and responsibilities while in the TPS. On 9 December they will be emphasized to monitor, record, and document all incidents at the TPS.
Laila also emphasized that all supervisors should be neutral in carrying out their duties. Their role is big in the success of this democratic party.
"We will also continue to monitor, if there is a TPS supervisor who is part of the success team, we will immediately replace it that very day," he said.
Laila added that her party had prepared a monitoring form. Each supervisor is obliged to fill in according to the dynamics that occurred while in the TPS.
Bawaslu Manokwari, he said, was ready to supervise the voting stage until the recapitulation at the Manokwari KPU office.
