This is different from the wishes of the Jayawijaya indigenous people who want special autonomy to be continued, as conveyed by Herman Doga (Chairperson of Jayawijaya LMA)
"In general we support the extension and implementation of Volume II Special Autonomy in Papua with the implementation of clear and transparent activities and accompanied by strict supervision," said Herman Doga.
Transparency and strict supervision are important points for the implementation of Papua's Special Autonomy in order to measure the effectiveness of the Special Autonomy budget. This needs to be done in order to avoid misusing the special autonomy fund.
"We also support the action against those who have been misusing special autonomy funds for personal gain so that the Papuan people do not feel the positive impact of the special autonomy policy," he explained.
In addition, Herman Doga also paid special attention to the development of Papuan human resources. Parties want the special autonomy budget in the future need to pay attention to work programs for traditional leaders, women, youth and religion by using the special autonomy budget in a detailed, clear, and sustainable manner each year because the special autonomy is used for human resource development.
