PLN Inaugurates 24 Hours Electric Waiter in 4 Districts in Papua |
PLN inaugurated the electricity service in Kaureh District to be 24 hours. This area, which is part of Jayapura Regency, previously only felt electricity for 12 hours a day.
Kaureh District is under the service of PLN Genyem Customer Service Unit (ULP) consisting of 4 villages, namely Lapua, Soskotek, Sebum and Sisik with a total of 266 customers.
To travel to Kaureh District, it can be done by land from Jayapura City with a 5 hour long trip. The Kaureh District is predicted to have the potential to increase to 350 customers by the end of 2020.
Customer Service Implementation Unit Manager (M UP3) Salmon Kareth said the 24-hour electricity service is one form of optimal service from PLN to customers.
"This pleasure is not only felt by the people in the Kaureh District, but colleagues who have worked hard feel happy to see the Kaureh District can enjoy 24-hour electricity," Salmon explained, Friday, June 12, 2020.
PLN's General Manager Unique Parent of Papua and West Papua (UIWP2B), JA. Ari Dartomo said the additional hours for the Kaureh District had been planned for October 2, 2019 and began work in early June.
"We provide lighting for 24 hours not just solely, but there are calculations such as peak loads, the ability to supply electricity, customer productivity and so on," he said.
Ari hopes that with 24-hour electricity lighting, education and the economy of the people in the Kaureh District can improve.
Lapua Village Head, Okto Lambe is happy with the lighting that can be enjoyed by the public 24 hours. "This is our hope that is long enough, so we can enjoy electricity day and night," said Ari.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, PLN kept trying to electrify the countryside 24 hours to remote Papua and West Papua. The addition of a glowing hour for some regions continues to be done. By continuing to comply with applicable health protocols, it is hoped that PLN's services to its customers remain maximum.
