Hamadi Market Officially Closed While To Prevent Covid-19

Jayapura City Government has officially closed the trading activities in Hamadi Market to prevent the spread of the corona virus, because previously there were 10 mobile fish sellers who tested positive for corona virus after swab tests.

In addition to the market, Hamadi Fish Auction Place (TPI) was also temporarily closed and quarantined four areas in Hamadi, namely Hamadi Rawa 1, Rawa 2, Hamadi Pontong, and the SMAN 4 Jayapura area.

The Mayor of Jayapura, Benhur Tomi Mano, reminded local residents to obey the policies taken by the municipal government so that the transmission of the corona virus is not widespread.

"I want all Hamadi residents to be healthy. For that, follow what the government says. If we check everything today, we can open Saturday, but if the residents don't want to hear what we say, we will open it until May 26, ”said Tomi Mano at Hamadi Market, Tuesday (05/12/2020).

Not only close and quarantine the area, traders and residents are also examined using a rapid test in order to get faster treatment of corona virus exposure.

"This closure is important so that we are all healthy. I ask law enforcement officials to be more strict in carrying out government instructions. Residents are required to wear masks, we prepare guard for a mask sweeping, "said Tomi Mano.

The Head of Jayapura City Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, Robert L.N Awi, said that they continue to make efforts and socialization related to the prevention of corona virus transmission.

"Our hope is with this appeal that the community can understand and be implemented for the health of all residents in Jayapura City. For this reason, we ask for your cooperation to break the spread of the corona virus so that we can move normally again, "said Awi.

Jayapura City Government provides food aid to residents of the area while the money is closed. Activities at the Hamadi Market and Fish Auction Place are closed or there is no activity of buyers and traders.
