| TNI Receives Makogabwilhan III Development Land Grant in Mimika Papua |
The Kogabwilhan III Unit is the development of the TNI organization which until now has not had a Command Headquarters whose area of responsibility is quite extensive, covering the Provinces of Papua, West Papua, Maluku and North Maluku.
The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) received a land grant for the construction of the Joint Defense Regional Command III (Kogabwilhan III) Command Headquarters from the people of Mimika Regency, Papua Province.
The grant of land was symbolically handed over by Mr. Philipus Monaweyauw to TNI Commander in Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto witnessed by Mimika Regent Eltinus Omaleng, Forkompimda and Mimika traditional leaders on Jln. Poros SP V Kampung Limau Asri Timur, Iwaka District, Mimika Regency, Papua, Wednesday (02/19/2020).
The TNI Commander expresses his gratitude for the participation of the Papuan people especially Mr. Philipus Monaweyauw as the holder of the Komoro tribal customary land which has granted 78 hectares of land for the construction of Mako Kogabwilhan III.
The plan is that after completion of land surrender and certificates the groundbreaking will begin immediately on the construction of the Command headquarters.
The TNI Commander said that the existence of Kogabwilhan III as the Command Headquarters for national defense and security in the eastern region was expected to be able to provide welfare for the people of Mimika Regency.
In addition, it can increase the motivation and interests of the people of Kab. Mimika to become a soldier of the TNI and Polri so that the percentage of youth is received from Kab. Mimika will increase. It is expected that within the next 25 to 30 years many Generals will be born from Mimika Regency.
After handing over the land grant, TNI Commander in Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto was asked to light the "Bakar Batu" fire. The event is a Papuan culture as a form of joy that shows love and ownership of the TNI and reflects the TNI's Oneness with the People.
The trust and trust of the people in the TNI can be upheld to show a professional TNI as a defense component of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia.
