| Mayor Opens Badminton Inter-Student Age Championships in Jayapura |
Various competitions were held in the framework of the 110th anniversary of the city of Jayapura and the Gospel Preaching in Tanah Tabi, one of which was a badminton championship between the age groups of students in the city of Jayapura, which was opened by the Mayor of Jayapura, Dr. Benhur Tomi Mano, MM, Monday, February 17, 2020, at the Entrop Boulevard badminton court.

On that occasion the Mayor said, there were two (2) objectives for the implementation of the badminton championship, namely, to enliven the 110th anniversary of Jayapura city and establish friendship among students in the city of Jayapura in the badminton arena.

To the students who took part in the championship, the Mayor advised, study diligently so that later they would become future leaders in the city of Jayapura. It also must respect parents and do not follow things that will harm yourself.

By continuing to exercise the number one person in the city of Jayapura, the children will be strong and healthy, so that they can continue development in the city of Jayapura that we love together.

The Mayor also expressed his gratitude to the school principals, sports teachers and facilitators, so that they were able to take their students to take part in the championships held every year.

"Children must be nurtured mentally and in character so they should not be influenced by negative things," he stressed. Starting the activity there was an exhibition match between the Mayor and one of the participants.
