| Special Stalls of Papua Craftsmen in PON 2020 Performance |
The Papua PON Grand Committee (PB) provides special booths for native Papuan traders and craftsmen to hold their wares.

PB PON Papua Daily Chair, Yunus Wonda said the involvement of indigenous Papuan craftsmen was needed to support the implementation of PON.

"Papuan traders or craftsmen can display their work at this annual 4-year sports event," Yunus explained, Friday (2/14).
.
The hope is that the unique Papuan handicrafts displayed can be brought home by athletes or coaches and invited guests who come from outside Papua.

Meanwhile, Assistant II of the Regional Secretariat of Papua for the Economy and People's Welfare, Muhammad Musa'ad hopes that PON will be the revival of the Papuan economy.

"Opportunities for awakening must be exploited by Papuans, lest anyone from outside Papua take this opportunity," he explained.

Musa'ad asked Papuan native craftsmen to display every piece of his work to be used as souvenirs that could be brought home by guests who came at the sports performance.

"This is a great opportunity. People do not just stay quiet. Prepare handicrafts to local culinary to be presented at the PON XX party," he explained.
