The Lukas Enembe Case, KPK Asks the Chairman of Kadin to Cooperate

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Mohammad Arsjad Rasjid Prabu Mangkuningrat to cooperate with the alleged bribery and gratuity case of the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe. The KPK considers that Arsjad's statement is urgently needed in order to shed light on the corruption case that ensnared Lukas Enembe.

"Next, of course we will definitely summon them. We hope that the person concerned will cooperate because his statement is needed in the intended process, so that it becomes clear and clear," said Head of KPK Reporting Section Ali Fikri at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (27/12/2022).

It is known that Arsjad Rasjid was summoned to be examined by the KPK investigators team last Tuesday (13/12/2022). However, at that time Arsjad Rasjid did not fulfill the investigation team's summons.

Ali reminded that as a citizen, Arsjad Rasjid had an obligation to attend the summons of investigators.

"So it has been stated that a witness is obligated to attend, confirm, clarify, and his role is certainly important when he is present before the KPK investigators in person," he said.

So far, it is not known what material the KPK will investigate when questioning Arsjad Rasjid in relation to the Lukas Enembe case. This was because Arsjad had not yet fulfilled the summons of the investigative team.

The KPK is known to have named Lukas Enembe as a suspect in the alleged bribery and gratuity case.
