The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that it will recall the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Arsjad Rasjid Mangkuningrat. This is because Arsjad Rasjid had previously been absent from the summons of investigators in the alleged bribery and gratuity case that ensnared the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe, Tuesday (13/12).
“Later, of course, a second summons will be sent back,” said the Head of the KPK Reporting Section, Ali Fikri, confirmed, Thursday (15/12).
The Corruption Eradication Commission spokesman emphasized that his party had sent a summons to Arsjad Rasjid Mangkuningrat. Because of that, the anti-corruption agency asked Arsjad to cooperate.
"What is certain is that the information we received, the summons has been sent," said Ali.
However, Ali could not explain when it was time to recall Arsjad Rasjid. Arsjad's statement is considered important to complete the investigation that ensnared Lukas Enembe.
"If the witness wants confirmation, please contact the KPK through the existing facilities," said Ali.
As is well known, the KPK has named Lukas a suspect in a suspected corruption case related to receiving bribes and project gratuities in the Papua region.
The KPK investigation team has also come to Papua to examine Lukas Enembe. The examination took place at Lukas Enembe's residence in the Koya Tengah area, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City, Papua.
Nevertheless, the KPK has not made any attempt to arrest Lukas. The KPK has also not disclosed details of who are the suspects and the construction of the case that ensnared Lukas Enembe.
Lukas has also been prevented from traveling abroad by the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) at the request of the KPK. He will be prevented from traveling abroad for the next six months from 7 September 2022 to 7 March 2023.
