Acting Regent of Nduga Namia Gwijangge distributed venture capital assistance to 60 local entrepreneurs in the hope of revitalizing the community's economy after the Covid-19 pandemic.
"This is our second aid, which previously had been distributed to 20 businesses, so that the total business capital assistance that will receive business capital assistance is 80 businesses," he said in a press release in Jayapura, Papua, Friday.
According to Namia, her party provides business capital assistance in the amount of Rp. 50 million for every business owned by the Nduga community in various fields such as kiosk business, animal husbandry, fisheries, handicrafts, typing/ATK, selling books and Bibles and other businesses.
"Business capital assistance is a way for the Nduga Regency Government to encourage the Nduga indigenous people to control the economy in the private sector," he said.
He explained the assistance provided by allocating funds for Papua's special autonomy, so that it is hoped that the community will be more intelligent in entrepreneurship and prosper.
"We hope that the business capital assistance provided must be used as well as possible, in order to develop the business, so that the circulation of money in Nduga Regency will be better after the COVID-19 Pandemic," he said again.
He added that his party asked the Department of Industry and Cooperatives to always monitor the assistance so that it could really develop the businesses of the Nduga community.
"The Head of the Disperindagkop Service must supervise and assist local entrepreneurs' difficulties, perhaps providing training on how to manage finances well," he said again.
