The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the distribution of the use of the Papua Regional Budget (APBD) in the case of alleged bribery and gratification related to infrastructure projects in Papua Province that ensnared Governor Lukas Enembe.
The investigation was carried out by the investigative team when examining the Civil Servant/Expenditure Treasurer of the Assistant Regional Head of the Papua Province, Dius Enumbi. Dius was questioned at the KPK Building, Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
"The person concerned was present and his knowledge was explored, among others, related to the distribution of the use of the Papua Province APBD," said Acting KPK Spokesperson Ipi Maryati Kuding in a statement, Thursday (20/10/2022).
Meanwhile, another witness who was scheduled to attend with Dius, namely Nopiles Gombo, did not comply with the KPK's summons. The investigative team will re-schedule Nopiles' examination.
"Nopiles Gombo (Honorer Treasurer Assistant Secretariat), was not present. The investigator team rescheduled," said Ipi.
Previously, the KPK planned to send a team of independent doctors from the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) to find out firsthand the health condition of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe.
The plan emerged after a team of attorneys and personal doctors as well as spokesman Lukas Enembe met the KPK investigators team today, Monday (17/10/2022) at around 11.00 WIB.
"KPK has summoned a team of attorneys to appear before investigators in order to coordinate the planned visit of an independent team of doctors from IDI to Jayapura in connection with information on the illness of suspect LE," said KPK News Section Head Ali Fikri in his statement, Monday (17/10/2022).
KPK Will Send Independent Doctors to Papua
Ali said that the technical examination of Luke's condition by the IDI independent team of doctors will be discussed further at IDI's head office which will be attended directly by the IDI independent team of doctors, Luke Enembe's team of doctors, and the KPK team of doctors.
"The examination of the suspect LE's health condition is in accordance with the results of the examination by a doctor from Singapore who examined the suspect LE in Jayapura," said Ali.
According to Ali, during the meeting, the team of attorneys also presented the results of the doctor's examination from Singapore. The results of the examination are submitted directly to the Director of Investigation of the KPK who is accompanied by a team of investigators and a team of KPK doctors.
"We do this in accordance with the KPK's principles to uphold the principles in carrying out the KPK's main tasks, including human rights in the law enforcement process. The KPK is obliged to ensure the suspect's health condition to assist in the treatment and recovery of the suspect's health, which can then be followed up with other steps. the next law," said Ali.
KPK Searches Luke Enembe's House
It was reported that the KPK searched the residence of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe in DKI Jakarta. In addition to Luke's residence, the team of investigators also searched other locations in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabotabek).
The search was carried out on Thursday, October 13, 2022 yesterday. The search was related to cases of bribery and gratification related to infrastructure projects in Papua Province.
"The Investigative Team, last Thursday (13/10) has finished conducting searches in several places in the Greater Jakarta area. The places in question are private companies and residences of parties related to the case, one of which is the residence of LE (Lukas Enembe) ," said the Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri in his statement, Friday (10/14/2020).
Ali said, from Luke's residence and other locations new evidence was found of a criminal act committed by Lukas Enembe. The evidence will be confiscated and confirmed to witnesses and suspects.
"Furthermore, evidence was found and secured, including various money flow documents which are strongly suspected of explaining LE's actions. Analysis and confiscation were carried out again on the findings of the evidence to then complete the investigation case file," said Ali.
